Higher productivity, enhanced safety for temporary lane shifts
3M™ Stamark™ Removable Black Tape 715IR
For construction projects when road routes suddenly change, the need for clear and immediate markings becomes even more critical to maintain driver and worker safety. It’s not enough to simply install new markings during temporary lane shifts; to avoid mishaps for road workers as well as road users, existing lane markings must be completely hidden or removed.-
A great solution: 3M™ Stamark™ Removable Black Tape 715IR
3M Stamark Tape 715IR conceals existing pavement markings without using grinders or water blasting equipment which can permanently damage the finished road surface, and can often leave ghost markings which can confuse drivers even at low speeds. Workers simply apply the tape over pavement markings for a durable but temporary non-reflective mask during road work.
The raised pattern surface on the tape helps prevent skidding for all vehicle types, even during wet conditions. 715IR is tested in accordance with ASTM E303 at an initial skid resistance value of 60 BPN.

A product of 3M adhesive development expertise
Adhesives have been a 3M core technology for decades, and 3M Stamark Tape 715IR shows a focused expertise in removable tapes. The adhesive is specially formulated with excellent peel adhesion and, together with a reinforced scrim that holds up to heavy ADT, high tensile strength to stay firmly in place for a full 6-month construction season.
The adhesive removes cleanly without damaging the pavement and the scrim allows for it to be removed largely intact. Road workers can immediately restore previous lane markings with minimal clean-up after construction has finished.
3M™ Stamark™ Removable Black Tape 715IR can be applied using cart or truck-mounted systems for enhanced worker safety.
